I aquired because it was the last one left and it is personally handmade by Tim Connolly, a prominent instrument maker and homosexual activist in my local area. At first, I wasn't 100% sure about buying a guitar off such a controversial man, but was won over by his suberb craftsmanship and natural charm ;)!
I like everything about it. From its sleek, perfectly weighted body to its hot pickups this guitar surpasses all expectations. The neck can handle the fast and furious unlike any other I've ever played. Easily the most playable neck I've known. Everything fits just right. My model is about 4 years old now, and hasn't let me down once, the lastablitity and perfomance never seems to wear. I really enjoy Tim's instruments.
The only thing I don't really like is the size of the instrument. It's a little too small for my playing comfort, but the playability, sound, and staying power of the instrument make up for that quite easily.
Construction of a handmade is always immaculate. An obvious amount of TLC has gone into this guitar.
I recommend that you find one, try one, and if you're into this kind of thing, buy one. A very satisfied consumer rated this unit on 2002-12-20.
